Who We Are
I love to cook, bake and garden among other things. I have found that many people love the idea of homemade products but just don’t have the time to bake from scratch themselves.
When my son entered elementary school I noticed that most people had cupcakes brought into school on their child’s birthday. The children really seem to enjoy and appreciate the experience but not so much for the parents. I believe that food should be made with love and what I noticed is that bringing in cupcakes was more of a chore for most parents. That is where my idea germinated from.
My mother and I have wanted to work together and this seemed like a perfect fit. With both of our love of baking and work background it seemed like a great match so we launched Cornerstone Baked Goods, LLC. We will bake, decorate and deliver delicious homemade cupcakes from scratch right to your door. We are fully licensed, insured and inspected by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
The name I chose came from the property that we live on. The house is over 200 years old and emanates warmth, charm and homeyness. I like to think that when I bake for you that I am instilling those qualities into the cupcakes that I deliver to you. Like you would at home, I always use the best quality ingredients with nothing artificial added.
My goal is to bring happiness to people while doing something that I love to do. I hope that you will try my products and enjoy eating my cupcakes as much as I enjoy baking them for you.
